Dancehall, Reggae Gospel’s young prodigy has gained success in his musical venture over the years, with through his lyrical potency and delivery. John I, whose real name is Janoih Nigel Reid, began his musical career in high school at the age of 13 and have been growing lyrically and spiritually mature over the years performing on two school Tours put on my Marshy Redz of the Praise House Bombard Team and also at Papa San’s Album Launch “Higher Heights” at Fellowship Tabernacle in Jamaica. His stage name refers to his admonition of the Baptist John whom has to date been a great man of God never showing fear and standing firm in what he does and the “I” represent himself as the descendant of that linkage, being his real name Janoih means “Jehovah is with me”.

His musical influences are Craig C, Papa San, S.O.P, Cross movement amongst others. He started his solo career working with Anointed Praise Station (A.P.S.) seeking to help put Dancehall Gospel on the map both locally and overseas. With his smooth and positive lyrics this artiste aims to create a tidal wave in the gospel arena, and even on the secular market. From the start of 2009 he has done collaboration with overseas gospel group “Yahweh Nation” called “New Creation. With One Dose, Twink and Jaelife.
